Georgia Institute of Technology, Biomedical Engineering Department; May 2020 to Present

Program Officer Bio-Crowd Program. 

• In-depth research and design using various computational software trackers to analyze raw footage of the C.Elegans, in the form of videos and photos.

• Produce usable data in the form of velocities, x and y coordinates and other lab features using original MATLAB code and various programs such as the Tierpsy Tracker, Worm Tracker 2.0, CellProfiler and others.

• Created marketing and communications materials for the lab.

 

Georgia Chief Science Officer/State Leadership Council; 2019 to Present

●STEM advocate working with state/national civic leaders and professionals as a representative of student voice

• Collaborate with Council members to create original content for bimonthly meetings, leadership training events, and workshops during Cabinet meetings.

• Led leadership training sessions, conceptualized and created training segments for diversity in STEM, racial and gender biases in technology, and academic roots of discrimination.

Python Programming Instructor for the Code Genius Program

• Conceptualized, created and teach a robust programming curriculum on Scratch, Python 1 and Python 2, to youth across the country, through group and private 1 on 1 classes.

• Using Cascade to manage website edits and updates for Urban Health Initiative

• Founded an innovative STEAM/CS outreach organization and original curriculum, focused on harnessing technology for positive social change and improvement.

• During the COVID-19 lockdown, mobilized a team of over 50 volunteers to make and distribute over 3,500 fabric masks to various hospitals, clinics, and community centers in the metro Atlanta area
